Q: In a 3 OUT set, the point drives north/south to the right, the wing on the right side circles right. Now, he is in the deep right corner. Should he start to baseline cut to the hoop? In the 3 OUT set the wings are not in the deep corners like the 4 OUT set. I just need some clarification.
A: The Wing on the right circle moves only 1 spot to the right – in the corner – the Natural Pitch position. To send the wing to the corner and then along the baseline would be the equivalent of circle moving TWO spots to the right. And of course, you’ve pointed out the reason the wing would not do this: the passing window to the short corner on the baseline has already been filled by the post, i.e., we don’t need two in the same passing window.
